JOB PURPOSE
 
To increase product and services sales to maximise revenue/profit from every managed account through:
  • Developing a thorough understanding of resellers, their end users and their business needs;
  • Introduction of core product sets to each account focusing on our Strategic Vendors;
  • Profiling to develop multiple contacts within each account at Sales Support, Account Executive, Account Manager, Project Manager/Management level;
  • Report back to the Head of Sales on sales pipeline/account profitability/sales opportunities/general account activities;
  • Working with Sales Support team to provide excellent level of customer service;
  • Consistently achieve GP targets and objectives.              
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Business Intelligence gathering/research;
  • Targeted account activity/warm-cold calling – in line with strategic plan as agreed with the Head of Sales;
  • Spotting and acting on upsell/cross-sell/consolidation opportunities;
  • Participate in and following up of all marketing activity/vendor campaigns;
  • Introduction of the BDM's and strategic vendors;
  • Providing customer quotations and working closely with sales support on post order queries;
  • Keep all databases up to date with relevant information;
  • Customer visits to introduce Company where appropriate;
  • Take part in call out days, led by the Head of Sales and the BDM team.
THE PERSON
  • Experience of working in an office environment, handling enquiries by phone and/or email;
  • Previous sales experience;
  • Confident communicator - ability to build relationships with customers and partners;
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office;
  • Literacy skills are required including spelling, grammar and punctuation for emails and contracts;
  • GCSE Grade C and above in Maths and English;
  • Ambition to progress.
 
£25-28K OTE, uncapped.  Full time, permanent role - 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
