Area Sales Manager South West - Devon

£28-29K basic, quarterly bonus, 22 days holiday, car, laptop etc. - Sales

As a Sales Manager you have the responsibility for the sales growth and development of the customer base within your defined territory. This involves both the retention of existing business and the acquisition of new business to meet your financial targets. You are also responsible for ensuring the efficient of placement, use and safekeeping of all Equipment within your territory.  You will need experience of Selling Food or Food Concepts into Foodservice End Users.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables:

  • To identify and win new accounts within the territory using an active new business pipeline
  • To set up, install and train customers in the effective use of the Company concept
  • To undertake proactive customer visits as part of a call cycle with call frequencies agreed with the Commercial Controller
  • To ensure that customers are adhering to the Company brand standards at all times and take appropriate steps to rectify if required
  • To monitor poor performing accounts and take immediate steps to resolve
  • To provide activity reports and communicate territory and customer performance
  • To report relevant market information and competitor activity to the Commercial Controller
  • To attend sales meetings, exhibitions and training as and when required
  • To complete all documentation to professional standard as required by the Company in the daily execution of business
  • To exceed the financial targets for your territory
  • To Achieve Key Performance Indicators

Technical Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Have a proven track record of account management
  • Have a proven track record of winning new business in a competitive market
  • Dealt with both end user caterers and group buyers
  • Both strong in developing existing accounts and gaining new business
  • Forward thinking and able to take full responsibility for their geographical area of responsibility
  • Looking for more responsibility and more autonomy in the role

Package:

  • c£28-29K basic plus OTE, paid quarterly

Working Arrangements:

Primarily Monday to Friday, overnight stays will be required and other times as the business dictates for shows, exhibitions and training.
