Business Administrator/HR Support - Paignton - Devon

£22-25K, 28 days holiday inclusive, Pension - Secretarial, PA and Administration

This is a fantastic opportunity for a career driven administrative professional to join our highly successful Company that has been operating in Torbay for nearly 25 years.

As our Business Administrator/HR Support it will be your job to make sure the business runs smoothly by running and controlling all the office and administration procedures, ensuring excellent internal working practices, and providing support at senior management level.

This role involves a lot of independent work allowing you to work on your own, must be self-motivated, organised and systems-driven and must be sharp and decisive.  If you are looking for something outside the standard Admin spec, this is just the role for you!

Main responsibilities

Business Support:

  • Event planning and organising corporate activity days and staff parties.
  • Organising the sales team with regards to hotel booking etc. Looking to set up accounts with hotel chains.
  • Mail shots and mail merge.
  • Coordinate mail chip campaigns.
  • Organising marketing materials/gifts.
  • Creating and maintaining filing systems.
  • Building relationships both internally and externally with a wide range of people.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are in place and being adhered to and that everything is documented.
  • Act as point of contact for external providers/contractors.
  • Act as Compliance Officer.
  • Act as Complaints Officer.
  • Support Head of IT with GDPR compliance.
  • Provide occasional support to MD with travel arrangements and meeting notes.

Human Resources (approximately 50% of the role):

  • Provide support to HR Director.
  • To support the recruitment and on-boarding of staff.
  • Coordinate staff inductions and training.
  • Provide generalist administrative HR support.

Applicant Profile

Essential:

  • Excellent computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • First class organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to multi task.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • An understanding that confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
  • Experience of dealing with corporate professionals.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and to work in a team when needed.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a HR support/administrative role.
  • Familiarity with content marketing, social media marketing strategies, mailshots etc. desirable.

Salary £22-25K depending on experience. 28 days holiday inclusive. The standard hours of work will be will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
