Business Coordinator - Torquay - Devon

Salary up to £25K plus PRP (Est. £2,000 PA) - Secretarial, PA and Administration

Business Coordinator with potential to become the Business Manager in the future allowing the owner to take a step back from the day to day running of the business.

  • Successful candidate would always have the on-going support of the external professionals that currently work with the business - Accountant and business mentor (monthly meetings to discuss targets, updates etc), marketing, design & digital, HR (on-line 24/7 advice) and in person as and when required - never a lone soldier!

THE JOB

  • Initially you would submerge yourself into the day to day running of the business on the most basic of levels.  You would work closely with our Office Supervisor  learning how to become fully conversant in all our current systems.
  • Handle and process business enquiries; input jobs; process engineers’ job sheets and invoicing; schedule and plan workload for mobile engineers’; arrange appointments for routine service and emergency calls; and communicate verbally and in writing between clients, suppliers and engineers’.
  • The successful candidate will instantly see where improvements could be made to our current systems - suggestions would be heard and implemented swiftly once approved – this is a role where you can see your ideas make a difference very quickly – huge degree of job satisfaction can be derived from seeing your ideas become a success – it’s exciting.
  • Taking a lead on Marketing – Implement effective marketing communication campaigns to promote products and services to customers and prospects; ensure social media platforms are updated on a regular basis, create and develop content to drive engagement and increase follower base; create promotional content for the company website; PPC campaigns management; and taking directives from our internal and external specialists to ensure that projects are executed correctly and effectively.
  • Implementing a new customer database to deliver CRM strategies to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Supporting the Technical team – Order parts/equipment for jobs (check agreed supplier terms against invoices); coordinate vehicle repairs, book MOT’s and services for small fleet; order personal equipment for engineers’ i.e. phones, iPad's etc.; act as a point of contact for engineers’ enquiries.
  • Human Resources – Support Directors’ and management in conducting regular performance reviews and appraisals with direct reports; support Directors’ and management in recruitment, training and development of their reports; conduct ‘Back to Work’ interviews; maintain employee records; and act as the point of contact for external HR Company.
  • GDPR  - take on the role of Data Protection Officer.
  • Assist Directors’ with ad-hoc projects; contribute to team and process development.

THE PERSON (MUST HAVES!)

  • You will be self-sufficient and confident to put your ideas forward, have an eye for detail with an analytical mind, be adept at planning and organising yourself and others with the ability to meet tight deadlines, solve problems and approach things creatively. 
  • You must be highly computer literate, having an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with content marketing, social media marketing strategies, CRM systems and database management highly desirable.

Competitive annual salary & PRP dependent on qualifications and experience. The standard hours of work will be will be 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday plus 1 Saturday in 4, working 8.30 am to 1 pm.
