Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Architect - Devon

We require a technically experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Architect to provide presales consultancy, escalation support and project delivery to our customer base as well as maintaining and improving our own systems.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be an SME on at least one Public Cloud platform. You must also have good experience translating customer requirements into working solutions and implementing them. There will be a requirement to learn about innovative technologies. You will form part of a Service Delivery team that focuses on presales and deployment of technical solutions. You will be able to prioritise workload and manage customer expectations. Familiarity of working within SLA environments is preferable.

• Take responsibility for your own workload and respond to customers within agreed SLAs and OLAs

Essential skills

• Subject matter expert on Cloud Platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS or Alibaba Cloud in possession of relevant certifications
• At least 5-years’ experience providing consultancy or project delivery on cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS or Alibaba Cloud
• Extensive knowledge of server, storage and networking infrastructure and supporting technologies
• Strong understanding of complete technology stacks from infrastructure to data and application tiers
• Providing technical escalation support and technically mentoring the support and solutions teams
• Ability to work well as part of a team on projects as well as picking up calls already in progress
• Strong commercial understanding
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The willingness to learn new technologies

Desirable skills

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect: Professional certification
• Public speaking or workshop delivery experience
• Proficient with implementing business systems projects on premises and in the cloud
• Extensive cloud migration and deployment experience
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and technology
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture practices and technology

Salary up to £50k per year plus Company bonus. This is a full time, permanent role (37.5 hours Monday to Friday).
