Customer Service Sales Advisor - Paignton - Devon

You will be working for a well-established successful online retailer who are expanding into an exciting new venture opening a brand new showroom in Paignton. Working as part of a small energetic team this role provides an unusual challenge / opportunity for variety and responsibility combining telephone and face-to-face sales skills, after sales customer service and problem solving, plus detailed administration. There are a number of opportunities to grow and take on additional responsibility within different areas of the business once established in the core role.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Dealing with sales enquiries over the phone, via email and face to face in our showroom.
  • Giving advice on product selection, notifying customers of stock availability and agreeing delivery arrangements.
  • Processing orders accurately from sale through to delivery using our order processing system.
  • Assisting with the administration of online sales channels.
  • Facilitating sales through up-selling and recommendations.
  • Actioning returns, exchanges and refunds; analysing evidence and documentation to investigate complaints and make decisions.
  • Completing documentation required in the sales process, managing emails from customers, keeping detailed call notes and checking all orders before they are dispatched.

Skills/experience required:

You will have:

  • Great communication and people skills – able to handle sales and enquiries by phone and face-to-face.
  • Ability to work under your own steam and be comfortable in a variable-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and problem solving ability with keen attention to detail.
  • A competent approach to IT coupled with quick and accurate keyboard skills for processing and checking orders and dealing with emails.

This is a full-time position, 5 days per week, 9am to 5.30pm, to include some weekend days on a shift basis (minimum 2 days a month). 40 working hours per week.  Basic salary £19,000 to £22,000 per year depending on experience.
