Database Officer - Torquay

The role of the Database Officer will be to maintain the database, ensuring that it remains an accurate, up to date, efficient and cost-effective fundraising tool which promotes and maintains donor loyalty and maximises income for the Charity.  The Database Officer will be required to communicate with our supporters effectively and sensitively, and to maximise the value of donations by promoting Gift Aid.

Working as part of a small team providing support to our wider Fundraising team, responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Processing our supporter correspondence and donations
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Producing appropriate and tailored thank you letters
  • Maintaining gift aid and membership records
  • Producing financial reports and mailing lists
  • Support our lottery team using the Combase database (from time to time)

The Person (must-haves!)

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Fast, accurate keyboard skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work in a methodical and organised manner
  • Highly computer literate and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Literacy skills are required including spelling, grammar and punctuation for drafting emails

This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent role. Salary up to £19,645 per annum depending on experience. We offer a range of staff benefits to include:
