What you’ll be doing

As their Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and monitoring of client ledgers to ensure invoices are raised and paid
  • Assisting with payments of invoices to agencies
  • Ensuring that clients remain within their allocated budget
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients, their carers/agencies and the relevant Local Authorities
  • Maintaining client files to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Processing weekly payment runs in a timely manner to ensure care is not disrupted for clients
  • Production of reports for BACS payments
  • Working closely with Local Authorities to ensure contribution payments are met by the clients
  • Assisting with any other duties that or may arise from time to time

Additionally you will need:

  • Previous relevant experience
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office
  • Strong numeracy, high level of accuracy and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks


  • 22.5 hours per week (working days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
