Finance Manager - Totnes - Devon

The Finance Manager will support the Managing Director in the day to day running of the business providing up to date financial and company performance information, which will be used to drive and monitor the company’s expansion plans and ensure KPI's are met. The Finance Manager will assume a hands-on role and cover the full spectrum of finance operations.

This role would suit a fully/part qualified Accountant with a successful track record in a financial management position. Excellent commercial acumen and strategic business knowledge with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude a must!

Main duties

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
• Manage the preparation and publication of financial documents, monthly, quarterly and annually producing accurate financial reports.
• Oversee cash flow management.
• Deliver on HMRC reporting.
• Formulating strategic and long-term business plans, undertake cost-benefit analysis for financial opportunities, and developing, setting & managing budgets.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
• Improve efficiencies and reduce company costs.
• Coordination with company accountants on annual returns and other financial compliance issues.
• Understand regulation, legislation and industry development and how they will impact the business.

The ideal candidate will be committed, enthusiastic and able to use initiative to drive the business forward. Experience with Excel and SAGE based finance systems required.
