Experienced sales professional required for busy commercial insurance broker specialising in the transport and construction industries. You will work as part of a small, friendly team providing support to our clients ensuring conversion of new business and service of existing clients.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Writing commercial vehicle, HGV, fleet, engineering / plant, commercial combined, and liability policies
  • Fact find to identify clients requirements, obtaining quotations, advising the most appropriate terms and cover and to discuss any additional covers  to ensure that all the insurance needs are met
  • Ensure that the system records are created for new business, mid-term adjustments and enquiries and updated following all client contact
  • Service of existing accounts with retention of renewals
  • Issue written confirmation and policy documents; check all insurance documentation is correct including any administration duties and ad hoc duties that may be required
  • Resolve queries and issues raised with all customers
  • Ensure all relevant business activities fully comply with FCA regulation and company procedures

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Previous commercial broking experience, however applicants that have been working in personal lines, but that have some commercial experience will be considered
  • Logical thinker for creating and sanity checking quotes and policy documents
  • Good computer skills – using databases, the Internet and email
  • A genuine interest in working with and helping customers
  • Great communication skills, decisive and quick-thinking

Basic salary up to £25k, DOE, negotiable. Hours are Monday to Friday (0900 to 1730 hours) with no weekends.
