Internal Account Manager (TQ13) - Devon

£25-£28K OTE - Sales

Job purpose:

To increase product sales and services to maximise revenue from managed account through:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of resellers, their end users and their business needs
  • Introduction of core product sets to each account focusing on our Strategic Vendors
  • Profiling to develop multiple contacts within each account
  • Report back to the Head of Sales on sales pipeline/account profitability/sales opportunities/general account activities
  • Working with Sales Support team to provide excellent level of customer service

Key accountabilities:

Generating of new accounts / building of existing accounts / opportunities through:

  • Business Intelligence gathering / research
  • Targeted account activity and warm-cold calling
  • Spotting and acting on upsell/cross-sell/consolidation opportunities
  • Participate in and following up of all marketing activity / vendor campaigns
  • Introduction of the Business Development Managers and strategic vendors
  • Providing customer quotations and working closely with sales support on post order queries
  • Customer visits to introduce Company where appropriate
  • Keep all databases up to date with relevant information

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A “customer focussed” mentality, driven by the desire and sole objective of increasing and maintaining vendor/reseller satisfaction
  • Great communication skills - ability to build relationships with customers and partners
  • Experience of working in an office environment, handling enquiries by phone and/or email
  • Attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy and the ability to cope with a high workload and to stay calm and assured under pressure
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Literacy skills are required including spelling, grammar and punctuation for emails

Basic salary £19-20K with realistic £25-28K OTE, uncapped.  Full time, permanent role - 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
