Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for an opportunity to develop your technical skills, work on a wide variety of specialist manufacturing machinery and increase your earnings through overtime?
We're recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and maintenance business that supports blue-chip companies across the South West. Due to continued growth, they're looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, preventative maintenance and working on a diverse range of plant and manufacturing machinery. You'll receive extensive in-house training on specialist equipment including CNC machining centres, injection moulding machines, heat treatment ovens and X-ray machines, helping you develop into a technical expert within the business.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant and manufacturing machinery.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
- Demonstrate first-class diagnostic skills.
- Resolve complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Support client-specific projects.
- Work within a strict health and safety framework.
What We're Looking For
To be successful as a Maintenance Engineer, you'll have:
- Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- The motivation to technically progress and develop your skillset.
- An HNC, Engineering Apprenticeship or similar engineering qualification.
- CNC knowledge is preferred but not essential.
