We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a market leading manufacturing company based in Torbay.
The Management Accountant role will provide support in the preparation and reporting of the accounts to the group. Also supporting audit requests, reconciling and supervising transactional activities in conjunction with group shared service centre in Middle East including purchase/sales ledger, reconciliations, payroll and other finance related duties.
As their Management Accountant, you will ideally be qualified or working towards a qualification at any stage i.e. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/AAT, or have 2 plus years’ experience in a similar role.

What you’ll be doing as their Management Accountant
- Ensure all finance transactional activities are processed by group Finance Shared Service Centre.
- Support the Head of Finance with preparation of the monthly management accounts and group reporting.
- Manage accruals and prepayments.
- Weekly Cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and managing the Deferred VAT account as well as any other queries with HMRC.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly, including a thorough review of the GRNI, down payments and key account for specific suppliers as well as payroll/pension accounts.
- Provide support on all audit requests, collating and retrieving as required.
- Supervise daily reconciliation of bank accounts and allocations to customer accounts and being main point of contact locally for finance related queries.
- Supervise the preparation of the weekly/monthly BACS run in line with cash flow.
- Make payments as required using the banking portal.
- Supervise all credit control processes including allocating cash to customer accounts and chasing debt as required.
- Process monthly payroll and all associated activities including pension etc.
As their Management Accountant you will need
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong team player.
- The ability to analyse and solve problems.
- MS Office including excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Sum ifs.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working with ERP Finance packages e.g. SAP S4/HANA and Cognos BI.
Hours
40 hours per week – Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
Location
Paignton, Devon. Option to work from home 2 days per week.
