Marketing Manager - Totnes - Devon

Salary to £30k (we offer flexible working hours and would consider a slightly shorter working week) - Marketing, Advertising and PR
Ref: 148 Date Posted: Monday 27 Jan 2020

This newly created position will be responsible for developing growth strategies, building brand awareness, and converting enquiries through creating and effective marketing activities. It is a high impact role reporting to the Managing Director in a growing business – we’re excited to have you join us!

You will be an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in developing successful marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels. You will be highly numerate, driven and able to tackle ambiguous situations. You will also need to be comfortable reporting on your progress in a concise, meaningful and strategic manner to our Board of Directors.

This is a stand-alone position and would be an ideal opportunity for somebody who is looking to take that next step in their career or who is looking to move into a growing organisation where you have more autonomy and control over the full marketing function.

The role:

  • Set marketing strategy in line with overall company strategy and objectives.
  • Manage the end to end delivery of marketing projects from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Develop, coordinate and manage communications via direct marketing, email marketing, social media, events and PR.
  • Plan and deliver CRM strategies to drive customer sales, engagement and revenue.
  • Website development/content management incorporating SEO, PPC campaigns and link-building.
  • Identify, deliver and support new lead opportunities.
  • Analyse and investigate price, demand and competition.
  • Market research and competitor analysis, to identify market opportunities and gain a better understanding of customer needs
  • Identify and maximise strategic alliances/partnerships.
  • Oversee the production and design of marketing material and sales literature.
  • Plan, manage and attend exhibitions and networking events.
  • Monitoring performance of all marketing campaigns/communications across multiple channels.

The person:

You will be hands on (not someone who is used to outsourcing everything or only can delegate the work to a team) absolutely reliable, driven, passionate, creative, self-motivated and able to take ownership of the role. In addition, we are looking for:

  • Proven marketing experience, preferably in B2C & B2B.
  • Extremely comfortable with numbers, reporting and testing/learning to drive results.
  • A good understanding of digital marketing.
  • Experience in developing successful sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presenting, analytical and creative skills.
  • Experience in creating contacts/networking.

Benefits:

Competitive salary with potential for share options. 39 hours per week Monday to Friday (we offer flexible working hours and would consider a slightly shorter working week). 28 days holiday inclusive. Parking on-site.
