Our client has been based in Paignton, Devon for over 30 years and manufactures a wide range of products for different industrial applications all over the world.   They are now looking to expand their internal sales team and are seeking to appoint a New Business Executive. You will be working with clients in a variety of sectors including Steel/Construction/Horticulture/Chemical/Medical/Waste/Timber/ Food.

Their strategy for growth includes significant growth into new territories. They have grown significantly over the past 5 years and with new management in place this trend is expected to continue.

Expectations of Role 

The New Business Executive will be responsible for developing leads and finding new opportunities to increase sales into existing and new markets.  Considering best actions required to help the business meet its goals in line with the Company Strategy.

Role Functions

  • Work as a key member of the New Business Team to generate growth
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from new potential clients
  • Focus on key opportunities in the Company sectors to increase sales
  • Consider new markets and solutions to help Company growth
  • Make cold calls when necessary to targeted prospects
  • Generate appointments (for qualified opportunities) for the external reps
  • Manage prospecting activity to generate positive results
  • Raise and follow up proposals as necessary

Skills/Experience/Mentality required

  • Experience in a new business sales role
  • Track record of positive impact in previous roles

This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent role. 25 days holiday, parking on-site.
