PA/HR Assistant - Devon

£27-30k, Hybrid Working, Pension - Secretarial, PA and Administration

Hybrid working - full training in the office, moving to hybrid working part in the office and part working from home.

The Job

This is a busy and varied position and we are seeking someone who is flexible and dependable, able to take the initiative and exercise good judgement whilst working independently. You will need to demonstrate exceptional PA experience gained at Director or senior Manager Level and be fully competent in a range of duties including dealing with correspondence and communication, system management, supporting HR activities, arranging meetings, diary management and developing working relationships with a wide range of people.

Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • To provide high quality, professional and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Director including email and diary management.
  • Ensure busy diary commitments, papers and travel arrangements are managed effectively.
  • To deal with enquiries ensuring all responses are well researched, accurate and timely. Producing quality documents. Note taking and minutes.
  • Maintaining filing and CRM systems.
  • To carry out research for projects and other administrative tasks as directed.
  • Building relationships both internally and externally with a wide range of people.

Additionally you will deal with HR administrative duties such as:

  • Processing starters, leavers, pre-employment and reference checks ensuring that the correct processes are followed in line with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate staff inductions and training.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process and employee onboarding.
  • Assist HR Director with new initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working as PA/EA/Senior Admin capacity.
  • Experience of supporting HR activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel, PowerPoint - Accurate typing skills.
  • Good social media skills; in particular LinkedIn.
  • A positive approach to daily tasks and have a solution focussed working method.
  • Able to multi task and prioritise.
  • Good diary management ability.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing – particular about phone and email etiquette.
  • An understanding that confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £27-30k depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working - full training in the office, moving to hybrid working part in the office and part working from home.
  • Working hours will be 0900 – 1700, Monday to Friday.
  • Company Pension.
