Print Press Operative | Paignton - Devon £Competitive, 17.5% shift premium. - Transport & Logistics Ref: 104 Date Posted: Monday 05 Aug 2019 Printing Press Operative (Evening shift) Reporting to the Production Team Leader, this position will help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations. Job Purpose Working to all safety and quality requirements, help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements whilst optimising efficiency. Able to work on many areas of production with a level of supervision. Key Responsibilities and accountabilities Set and operate production equipment. Monitor the production process and carry out quality checks. Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines. Report equipment faults to Supervisor. Enter relevant data onto Shuttleworth Dataflow, to record product produced, quantities, material used, time taken. This will assist with the generation and measurement of the Operations KPI’s. To identify and pursue opportunities for improvement. To provide support to the Production Manager. Behaviours and Skills Ability to work on particular areas of the production process. Able to work as part of a team. Able to work on own initiative when necessary. Able to work safely. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. An eye for detail. Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of quality. Desire to develop skills and knowledge to support business needs.
