    Print Press Operator (Evening Shift) - Paignton - Devon

    We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Print Press Operator to join our client’s busy evening shift team, working as part of a close-knit group of seven. This Print Press Operator role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality printed products.

    As a Print Press Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets for quality, accuracy, and efficiency are consistently achieved while meeting customer expectations. Previous experience as a Print Press Operator or in press operation is required; however, full training, ongoing support, and development opportunities will be provided to help you grow further in your Print Press Operator career.

    The Print Press Operator role

    As a Print Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing presses to produce wristbands and related products to specification. The Print Press Operator will ensure smooth production flow, consistent quality, and compliance with health and safety standards throughout each shift.

    A typical day as a Print Press Operator will include:

    • Setting up and operating printing presses in line with job specifications
    • Monitoring print quality and making adjustments to maintain consistent output
    • Carrying out quality control checks during the production process
    • Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met
    • Troubleshooting basic machine issues and escalating faults when required
    • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
    • Completing routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
    • Working closely with Production Support staff and the Production Manager
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
    • Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards

    • Previous experience operating machinery within a print environment

    Hours of work

    This Print Press Operator role operates on a 4-day working week:

    • Monday to Wednesday: 16:00 – 02:00
    • Thursday: 15:30 – 01:00

    What you will receive as a Print Press Operator

    In return, the successful Print Press Operator will receive:

    • £30,550 per annum including a 17.5% shift premium
    • Overtime paid at 1.33x the standard hourly rate
