You will be an important part of a small high performing team to help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements whilst optimising efficiency.

While learning in your day-to-day role, you will be given all the support you need to develop and grow your skills and capability. We are looking for people with a positive attitude and a real willingness to learn about print production, we’re more interested in potential than “the finished article”.

The Job

Reporting to the Production Team Leader you will work on many areas of production with a level of supervision.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Set and operate production equipment
  • Monitor the production process and carry out quality checks
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines
  • Report equipment faults to Supervisor
  • Enter relevant data onto Shuttleworth Dataflow, to record product produced, quantities, material used, time taken. This will assist with the generation and measurement of the Operations KPI’s
  • To identify and pursue opportunities for improvement
  • To provide support to the Production Manager

About you

You will need to be hard working and enthusiastic with the ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to change.

Full training will be provided but to be successful you'll need the following:

  • Previous experience in a skilled/semi-skilled production/machine operator role
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • A good eye for detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willing to take responsibility to ensure quality control and company procedures are adhered to
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to work on own initiative when necessary
  • Exhibit safety-first attitude
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of quality
  • Desire to develop skills and knowledge to support business needs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, working hours Monday to Wednesday 06:00-16:00 and Thursday 06:00-15:30 with a 30 minute unpaid rest break.37.5 hours per week.
