Production Team Leader - Paignton - Devon

Purpose of role

Drive and lead the production team to optimise the processes and procedures to provide structure to deliver a first-class experience across all products and channels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily production activities ensuring all KPIs are met.
• Plan production builds: prioritizing of builds; raising of build plans; picking of stock required; delegating the builds to the production team.
• Ensuring completed build plans are complete on the ERP system and end storage.
• Ensuring the required level of finished stock is available on the shelf.
• Attend/chair production meetings with the production team.
• Assist on the production line where required.
• Ensure any business-related objectives are communicated with the production team.
• Ensure that staff are always motivated through direction, coaching, and encouragement and assist in the management of a harmonious environment.
• To set controls and monitor performance of the production team, acting upon any issues where necessary.
• To ensure that all employees go about their jobs with a sense of urgency and the required level of professionalism, and to carry out disciplinary action where necessary with assistance from HR.
• To ensure that all production KPIs are achieved. Maintain communication & flexibility

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven work experience within Production/Manufacturing industry at Team Leader/Supervisor level.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong team leader.
• Use of stock management systems.
• Knowledge and experience in 5S and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Package.
• Solid level of education.

This is a full time permanent position. Hours of work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
