You will be responsible for the Purchase Ledger function for our Finance team and will need relevant experience in a similar role.

The Role

You will be the first point of contact for all relevant enquires and are responsible for maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Furthermore, you will be reviewing systems and processes, making improvements where necessary. Working as part of a busy team, the Purchase Ledger Controller you will be working on several different things simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring they match the sales invoices.
  • Produce commission invoices from the system to match the supplier invoice.
  • Making payments to all suppliers whilst ensuring that commission is deducted at source, as well as sending all remittances and commission invoices to the supplier.
  • Processing staff expenses.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Managing petty cash.
  • Being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary.
  • Reconciling the bank daily, liaising with the credit controller to ensure all receipts are entered.
  • Reconcile the security deposits paid account and chase any deposits which are due.

Experience

  • Relevant purchase ledger experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail as will be maintaining system notes and dealing with invoices.
  • Excellent customer services.
  • Can-do, positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent administration skills.
