The Job

From customer and market insight this role will be responsible for setting sales targets to meet contract outcomes and outputs across their group of companies. Developing a forward plan of campaigns to market products and services.  You will be responsive to utilise good news stories and topical content to update their channels of communication as well as maintain their currency. 

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Manage, inspire and motivate a small team
  • Develop and maintain a sales plan
  • Raise customer and stakeholder awareness of Group Services
  • Maintain and develop market insight and sector knowledge
  • Work closely with the design team to oversee the development of all marketing resources
  • Oversee the creation and maintain a forward plan of campaigns
  • Manage the group of brands and relevant corporate styles
  • Oversee the work of external providers for marketing resources and materials
  • Manage and attend promotional events
  • Support fundraising, writing bids or tenders to secure new and existing business
  • Oversee PR campaigns and advertising for the group
  • Manage interactions with press and media companies
  • Set up and manage surveys
  • Ensure third party sites have currant information of group services
  • Design and build training programmes to meet stakeholder needs
  • Promote excellent working relationships with stakeholders

About you

You will have at least 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing management, ideally with a knowledge of community or education projects. You will be a creative/imaginative thinker, capable of working under your own initiative as well as delegating tasks and being part of a team.

What you’ll need to thrive… 

  • Experience of managing a team
  • Ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Excellent ICT skills, particularly Office 365
  • Proficient user of the Adobe Suite; in particular InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas and targets
  • Ability to attract and convert new business by using your persuasiveness and creativity
  • Degree educated sales/marketing or demonstrate alternative experience
  • Ability to travel for work as required

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge of HTML HTML5 and CSS3
  • Knowledge of ESFA funding methodologies
