Software Development Coordinator **Working From Home**

Working from home, with intermittent travel to Head Office in Devon.

This is an opportunity to join an exciting high growth business. Due to our on-going growth, we now have a vacancy for a full-time Software Development Co-Ordinator to join our busy office. This role will report directly to the Systems Development Manager. The key purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive software Development, Testing and Service Desk support to both internal and external customers alike.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide 1st line user support for Service Desk
  • Identify, escalate and resolve day to day software issues, raising and tracking support tickets
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a full and timely resolution
  • Adhere to standard procedures and processes for all software testing
  • Carry out robust testing and quality assurance on software delivered by our partners to ensure it meets the required specification
  • Enhance the user experience by constantly reviewing processes and queries
  • Data processing/Database administration
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of company databases and software applications
  • Remain informed on software updates, upgrades and additional services
  • Contributing to team and process development

Person requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Essential

  • Experience of working with software development in a commercial/academic organisation
  • Knowledge of or can demonstrate understanding of software development life cycle and methodology
  • Experience of using software development tools
  • Organised, methodical and thorough
  • Able to prioritise and work on multiple pieces of work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Good knowledge or can demonstrate understanding of data protection and information security principles in a sensitive business environment
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills

Desirable

  • Experience of writing and executing test scripts
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience of using a CRM
  • Educated to degree level

Package

  • Annual salary dependent on qualifications and experience
  • Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays
