Stock Control & Purchasing Manager - Paignton - Devon c£30k - Purchasing and Supply Chain Ref: 205 Date Posted: Monday 02 Aug 2021 Purpose of role Leadership and support for the Supply Chain strategy, formulating and executing an ambitious Supply Chain plan to deliver a collaborative, agile and market focused Supply Chain proposition for the customer base. Drive and lead the team to optimise the processes and procedures to provide structure to deliver a first-class experience across all product categories and channels. Support the Supply Chain Plan, Demand Planning, Vendor Management and Inventory Management, with further responsibility for managing the interfaces with our third-party Logistics and Warehouse partners. Key responsibilities Vendor Management Manage all internal and external vendors. Co-ordinate regular vendor meetings in line with a documented schedule. Issue supply forecasts, measure KPI’s and additional performance metrics to support service feedback. Where appropriate carry out on-site visits and pre-shipment inspections. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, freight forwarders and warehouse operators. Materials Planning (MRP) Run the MRP process weekly for relevant vendors. Place purchase orders and evaluate shipping schedules received from vendors. Inventory Management Lead the development of the stock policy for all SKU's to optimise availability, minimise working capital, whilst accounting for seasonality and demand volatility. Manage timely phase in/phase out product transitions to ensure effective life cycle management. Liaise effectively, with suppliers and commercial areas, on inventory management initiatives to minimise stock outs and OSMI. Manage the Master Data and stocking policy, ensuring a clear review process is established and delivered. Manage and coordinate the twice yearly stock takes. Warehouse & Logistics Manage day to day warehouse & logistics management against agreed SLA's and KPI's. Identify and drive opportunities to optimise the Supply Chain and drive cost efficiencies for all warehousing & transport activities. Ownership of the SLA with the warehousing and transportation provider including KPI management and assessment. Co-ordinate Audit control process and execution. Lead the management and review of the Supply Chain operating procedures. Ensure compliance on Brexit regulations on all imports and exports. Experience Championing S&OP processes.
