As the Store Manager you will be a positive role model, leading and developing your team to ensure excellent customer service and store standards at all times. You’ll also be accountable for driving business performance by maximising sales and profit, and maintaining control of costs within your Store.
The ideal candidate will have store management experience in the retail industry and/or at a petrol filling station. They should demonstrate strong people management skills and have experience leading a team to achieve results. A good level of commercial awareness is essential, along with experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively are also important. The candidate must be a Personal Licence Holder, or be able to obtain and hold a licence within six weeks of appointment.

Primary Responsibilities
- The achievement of key performance indicators and metrics, incorporating sales, waste, reductions, profit and loss.
- Role modelling excellent customer service, advising on products, keeping up to date with promotions and putting up promotional displays; and mentoring and coaching the team to do the same.
- Developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain customers, and increase sales opportunities.
- Management of external, third party, delivery services and compliance across the team.
- Recruitment, induction and training of new team members.
- Effective rota management to ensure the operational needs of the store are met.
- Effective management of HR processes including appraisals, absence management, conduct and data protection.
- Leading change activities; supporting your team to deliver and embed new ways of working.
- Ensuring control measures are in place for the accurate cashing up and daily accounting procedures.
- Accountable for all stock holding, the ordering, receipt, replenishment, and display of stock.
- Accountable for compliance with all Health & Safety, legal controls, with accurate record keeping and audit trails.

Hours
- 40 hours to include 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday), and 1 evening shift per week.
