This is a great opportunity for a determined and results orientated sales and/or customer service professional to work as part of a small, friendly team, where you’ll have day to day contact with our customers and be responsible for generating sales orders and delivering great customer service with a view to growing and developing the business. Excellent communication skills and customer focus, with a background in telephone based sales and/or customer service is a must.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct input of sales orders and update of the operating system and client database
  • To ensure e-commerce platforms are maintained from receipt of orders through to posting invoices
  • To make outgoing sales calls to the existing client base for order generation, promote product ranges and promotions to customers
  • Contacting relevant customers to understand their potential for business and set up future appointments for Business Managers to visit
  • To meet and exceed sales revenue targets, working with the Business Managers for the growth and development of their regions
  • To work with the drivers of our own fleet of vehicles in a coordinated approach focusing on samples, equipment, installations and ultimately sales
  • To develop a contact plan for all customers to maximise loyalty and sales performance ensuring that customer calls are scheduled in relation to customer requests, transport scheduling or buying patterns and completed with effective notes
  • Complaint handling and resolution in accordance with Company complaint policy
  • To take an integral role in special projects and new product development trials to expand the business
  • To provide accurate performance and activity reports and report relevant customer, competitor and market information

You’ll definitely

  • Have experience within a telephone based sales and/or customer service role
  • Love talking to people
  • Show a hunger when it comes to spotting a potential customer and closing a deal with them
  • Have great relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Be results orientated, with a determined attitude
  • Possess excellent PC, record keeping and literacy & numeracy skills

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary up to £19,500 per year plus 10% bonus, based on growth/sales targets (£21,450 per year OTE)
  • 35 hours per week; 9:00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with a 60 minute lunch break
