Job Purpose

You will provide day-to-day leadership for the telesales and customer service functions by driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique customer experience, building awareness and maximising income for the business.  A hands-on role, this individual will have day to day contact with both our external customers and internal commercial and operations colleagues.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach and motivate the sales and customer service team
  • Develop a contact plan for all customers to ensure we maximise loyalty and sales performance
  • Ensure customer queries are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key personnel to ensure timely and relevant communication of issues and opportunities
  • Monitor poor performing accounts and take immediate steps to resolve
  • Provide accurate performance and activity reports
  • Report relevant customer, competitor and market information
  • Achieve the financial targets for the business

The Person

You will have had previous success in a leadership role with a pragmatic, hands-on commercial approach coupled with a creative approach to ideas and opportunities.  You’ll be adept at planning and organising yourself and others with the ability to meet deadlines, solve problems and get the job done. Great computer skills are a must, having a good understanding CRM systems and databases.

More important is an ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of people and take ownership of this exciting role.

The role is based in Newton Abbot with occasional travel nationwide for meetings, trade shows and customer visits as appropriate.

This is a full time role working 35 hours Monday to Friday. Salary £25-28K depending on experience.  Company pension and 22 days holiday (increasing with length of service) offered.
